The Slums is a captivating gay, furry visual novel that delves into the tumultuous world of the Crocodilian kingdom’s fallen prince. Stranded in the depths of The Slums, a lawless prison city where the enslaved Canid race resides, the prince finds solace in the enigmatic Ember, his sole guardian in this unforgiving environment. Together, they embark on a perilous journey to escape the city’s eternal grasp, but will their quest be as straightforward as they hope?

Development Journey

This project has been a labor of love for me, with over a year of tireless effort dedicated to its completion. Even though I released the demo to great acclaim, receiving heartfelt messages from supporters, I’ve continued working tirelessly to perfect it. Along the way, I’ve received valuable assistance from friends, making this journey more manageable.

Challenges and Limitations

Despite its significance, this project had to be kept relatively simple due to time constraints. Consequently, some features like multiple endings, branching dialogue choices, music, sound effects, and custom UI had to be sacrificed. To put it into perspective, the project has been supported by just $3 over its development period, which is unfortunately insufficient to add these luxury elements.

Despite its rough edges and smaller scale compared to other visual novels, I genuinely hope you’ll enjoy this project. Initially conceived as a small test, it evolved into a passionate endeavor where I’ve invested countless hours and my heart.
