Spirit Latte was created using Ren’Py for the 2025 “Sealed with a Kiss” game jam. Despite joining the event late, the developer managed to complete the game within a tight two-week timeframe, involving all-nighters and some skipped sociology lectures. In truth, this game is actually a coffee shop AU (Alternate Universe) featuring characters from two different stories the developer has written.

While there are aspects the developer wishes they could have developed more, they achieved far more than expected within the given time frame.

Credits

The background music in Spirit Latte comes from Dova Syndrome, while the sound effects were sourced from freesound.org. Detailed credits can be found in the game’s about section. Texting in the game was created using “yet another phone for renpy” asset by Nighten. The developer extends special thanks to @adexia for their invaluable playtesting contributions.
