Game Overview

Resident Lover is a modern, sapphic take on the horror genre, inspired by the iconic Resident Evil Village. This rich narrative features a diverse cast of characters, including Alcina Dimitrescu, Bela Dimitrescu, Cassandra Dimitrescu, and Daniela Dimitrescu, as well as Donna and Angie Beneviento, and the enigmatic President Miranda. With a total of twenty-one endings, each player’s experience will be unique and deeply personal.

Development Team

The creation of Resident Lover was a collaborative effort by Team Avia, consisting of Arlanorr (Coding & Sound Design), Dead Finches (Art & Concept), CinderSpots (Writing), Bee-Nutauthor (Writing), and Vizzi (Promotional Design & Writing). Together, they have crafted an experience that is both captivating and immersive.

Gameplay Controls

To navigate through the world of Resident Lover seamlessly, use the following controls:

Desktop Controls:

– Left Click / Enter: Interact with objects.

– Right Click / ESC: Close menus or open the Save Screen during dialogue.

– Mouse Wheel / Page Up & Page Down: Scroll back and forth through dialogue you have already played.

– Space: Advance dialogue.

– Ctrl: Skip dialogue.

– Tab: Toggle automatic dialogue skipping.

– Arrow Keys: Navigate through the environment.

– H / Middle Mouse Button: Hide and show UI (User Interface).

Technical Information & Known Issues

While the demo save files should largely be compatible with the full release, minor bugs may arise. Ensure that save files are transferred manually from the directory “game\saves” within the Resident Lover folder. Note that the save files from the demo may appear too large in the save and load menus, but this is merely a visual issue that will be resolved upon overwriting[1][2][4]. Additionally, recording or streaming the game in fullscreen may result in video output freezing. To avoid this, record and stream from window mode if necessary[1].
