This game, originally showcased at SuNoFes 2022, offers a rich narrative with over 90,000 words and 12 original music tracks. Handcrafted pixel art and VFX bring the world to life, while the sapphic main cast of jaded 20-somethings adds depth to the storyline. A fun little cat, reminiscent of the magical girl squad, is just one of the delightful touches in this game.

Development Team

Life After Magic was created by a talented team of developers. Gwyn (Diskette Dreams) is responsible for the initial concept, writing, and background art. Brenna (ArchBrenemy) led the narrative design and writing efforts. Ooyu handled programming, writing, and social media management. Lisa (midorifield) contributed as character designer, CG artist, and writer. Chris Scribner composed the game’s music, while Meghan worked on UI design. Evelyn (EveeNova) took care of character sprites, pixel art, animation, and programming. CooingCrow provided additional writing, and Natalie (ketchupkiddo) assisted with background and CG art. Marina programmed key elements of the game. Jenny Vi Pham co-wrote parts of the narrative, and Charlotte Pang served as the proofreader.
