The anticipation for Killer Trait is building. When can we expect its release? For now, the exact date remains a secret. Rest assured, though, that the wait will be worth it. As for the game’s price, it will not be free. Making games is a labor-intensive and financially demanding process. Only exceptional cases, such as game jams, will see my creations being given away for free. The rest of my hard work will come at a cost, and I hope you understand why[1].

There are currently no plans to launch Killer Trait on Steam. As a creator from Argentina, navigating the complex world of international payments is a challenge. The economic instability in my country makes it impractical for me to handle sales in Argentine Pesos, especially when many of my team members are based overseas and require payment in USD[1]. However, this could change if I were to relocate someday. For now, I must prioritize practicality.

Game Story

In Killer Trait, you’ve finally reached the pinnacle of your career in Silvering City. You’ve worked tirelessly to become a police detective, only to be betrayed and accused of a crime you didn’t commit. Your only choice is to join forces with a serial killer who only targets criminals. Will you put aside your differences to get revenge together, or will you betray him for a chance to redeem yourself socially? The choice is yours[4].

Game Features

Killer Trait boasts an extensive narrative with over 7700 words. The default name for your protagonist is Roe, which will change to Fawna in the new demo. The game includes partial voice acting, the ability to choose your pronouns, and beautifully crafted cafe food art featuring a bear theme. You’ll also encounter a serial killer who becomes your biggest ally in this thrilling mystery-thriller visual novel. Notably, the full game will consist of 10 in-game days, with the option to play as the canon protagonist Fawna[5].

Credits

Killer Trait was created by Pri Karin, who handled writing, programming, and overall creation. The logo was designed by xxmissarichanxx, while the cover art was crafted by Kyleechii. The GUI was provided by Ess VN Assets, and character designs and sprite art for Oz, Aslan, and Arthur were done by Riku Matsurigi. Voice acting was handled by TyCoker (Oz), Norman Bradley (Arthur), Jerron Bacat (Aslan), and Edwyn Tiong (Carl). Food art was contributed by Florisam, with Tiger’s Eye Card Art designed by Pri Karin and Florisam. Backgrounds were provided by Minikle and Amakani, music by Maou Audio, MusMus, Peritune, and Storyblocks, and sound effects by Storyblocks and Pocket Sound. The pronoun tool was developed by npckc, with beta testing conducted by Carrot Patch Games and Pri Karin. Not yet available are Carl’s character design, which will be handled by Pri Karin and Kyleechii, and CG Art, which will also be handled by Kyleechii[4].
