You are an Eldritch horror summoned to the human world, but you soon discover that you share a peculiar kinship with your followers – a longing for something they call “y2k” and “retro anime aesthetics.” Though their concept of “The Void” is different from yours, it’s clear that every god needs a following, and clout is essential. Build your cult, attract followers, and bestow miracles upon them. Romance your head priest, or don’t – it’s your call.

Gameplay Features

The game offers a unique blend of stat-raising gameplay, wholesome romance, and existential horror. With a story spanning 35,000 words, you’ll encounter 18 different endings. One of the most intriguing features? The ability to punch out Cthulhu himself. But be warned: the game tackles mature themes like fantasy violence, non-consensual mind-reading, dismemberment, politics, late capitalism, existentialism, death, Slavoj Žižek-inspired critiques, foul language, and more.

A content warning is necessary due to the comedic treatment of these heavy themes. It’s not recommended for children under 13 due to its mature content. The game might also be interpreted as religious satire, adding another layer of complexity to its narrative.

Development Team

The game is a collaborative effort by But Wholesome Games, responsible for the art, text, design, and code. Juicydev handled the editing. The project was created for the Spooktober 2023 VN Jam and has garnered significant interest.
