In a distant future, humanity has retreated to fortified structures known as Craters, fleeing the relentless onslaught of the mysterious and powerful I.C.O. These entities have left the world in ruins, forcing humans to fight for survival in a desperate bid to reclaim their lost heritage. The Craters have become battlegrounds as the I.C.O. continues its relentless assault.

The Feral Branch

Within these Craters, a special force known as the Ferals has emerged. These elite warriors are humanity’s last hope against the I.C.O. threat. Their bravery and strategic prowess have earned them a reputation as the vanguard of human resistance. Enter Judah Bishop, a young and fearless sea otter who has just joined the Feral branch of the military. He is about to embark on a perilous journey filled with battles, strategy, and danger as he strives to protect his fellow Craters inhabitants from the ever-present I.C.O. menace.

Inspiration and Identity

The concept of I.C.O. draws inspiration from iconic anime series like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Attack on Titan, and Gurren Lagann. These influences have significantly shaped the visual design and narrative of I.C.O., creating a unique blend of futuristic action and emotional depth. However, I.C.O. aims to carve out its own distinct identity within the furry Visual Novel (VN) medium, offering something fresh and innovative for fans of the genre.

Content and Themes

I.C.O. is designed to be a fully Safe for Work (SFW) experience, although it may tackle potentially triggering topics such as death, gore, and trauma. These themes are woven into the narrative to add depth and emotional resonance to the story, making it a more immersive experience for players.

I.C.O. requires extensive art assets and a considerable amount of time to develop. Supporting this project allows me to collaborate with talented individuals who can enhance the VN, ensuring it meets the highest standards in storytelling and visual presentation. The coloring of characters and promotional materials was done by Cody Opulos, whose work is available on Twitter.
