This game, completed in just a month for the 2025 SWAK game jam, has much to offer. Expect ongoing polishing and enhancements, including additional love interests and a secret bonus ending in the coming months.

Gameplay Highlights

In the current jam version of Hexes & Heartstrings, you can play as a cat, crow, or snake familiar, each affecting the narrative, choices, and even your elusive backstory. Your goal is to win over your master’s heart across several hours of gameplay and 40,000 words. Experience the beauty of the game through lovingly crafted sprites for both love interests and the long-awaited kiss CG.

Special Features

Engage in the exclusive gardening minigame where you must pluck every plant except the dreaded mandrake. Mark out where the mandrakes are hidden, and avoid them at all costs. Your journey will culminate in one of three endings: one bad, one very bad, and one just somewhat acceptable. Will you seal your fate with a kiss, or something more?
