Protagonist and Setting

Riley lives in Porthwarren, a coastal town where time seems to stand still. His life is a series of mundane jobs, with each day blending into the next like the tides. Despite a tight-knit group of friends, time and circumstances have pushed them apart.

Ranzo works on cargo ships abroad, Billy studies in the north, Sal is a freelance worker, and Joe is dedicated to his museum job. Like old boats swaying in the harbor, memories of their better times remain, slowly drifting away.

Riley’s memories of someone he deeply cared for are now faded, like watercolor paintings. This someone is not part of their group, and despite being apart for ten years, Riley’s feelings for them linger.

Community and Festivals

As the town awakens with the arrival of cool Spring air, preparations for the annual folk festival commence. With Billy on break from university and Ranzo returning to port, it’s an ideal time for a reunion.

This year’s festival holds special significance, attracting a larger crowd than usual. The excitement could bring back fond memories and new experiences for Riley and his friends.
