Storyline and Characters

On a night shrouded in winter’s chill, a solitary soul’s wish becomes a reality. Enter a world where the lines between black and white are blurred, and encounter the embodiment of your deepest love. Will you choose Castor or Castoria, the male and female versions of the same character, each with their unique charm and allure?

Game Features

Darling Duality offers an immersive roleplay/ASMR-like experience with full English voice acting. The game features different endings based on your choices, along with plenty of expression changes synchronized with the voice acting. The UI adapts to the character’s mood, ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience.

Technical Details

The game includes the option to fast-forward or rewind using the scroll wheel on your mouse, though rewinding after making a choice is not possible. To maintain the roleplay scenario’s integrity, it’s best to play through on auto or listen to the voice acting. However, turning off the voice acting may cause the expression changes to appear mismatched with the text.

Maturity Warnings

Darling Duality contains mature themes, including flashing lights, self-harm scenarios, yandere-esque behavior, suggestive situations, depictions of blood, and physical violence. These elements are part of the game’s narrative but are intended for mature audiences only.

Team and Credits

The game was written and created by Melancholy Marionette, with voice acting provided by Kevin Rineer for Castor and Aria Marisa for Castoria. Anthony Rodriguez served as the voice director. For full credits, please see the document included in the game folder or visit our website.

Future Development Plans

The current demo is just a standalone introduction to a much larger project. I plan to add more character routes and scenarios featuring Castor and Castoria. For now, the demo contains only the beginning of Castor/ia’s route. Additional characters and routes will be introduced in future updates.
