In the distant future, humanity teeters on the brink of extinction. The existence of a mysterious alien race known as the Occupants has a devastating impact on Earth. Their arrival is followed by a fast-spreading disease that decimates humanity in mere months.

The Legacy of Iris

A teenage girl named Iris miraculously survives the alien invasion. She is immune to the disease, and through some inexplicable process, she becomes immortal. Over time, Iris gives birth to a new society consisting entirely of her clones, whom she names the Sisters. They call her the ALLMOTHER.

The Underworld Bunker

The Sisters reside in an underground bunker known as the Orchard. To avoid the deadly air, they wear masks perpetually, living in constant fear of an Occupant attack. The ALLMOTHER resides in a separate compound on the front line of the war against the aliens. All Sisters dream of one day joining her in the fight.

Your Unique Role

You are Watcher, a unique individual tasked with interpreting the memories of the ALLMOTHER through a process called Communion. This is made possible by Secretary, your floating AI companion. You embark on a journey to uncover the truth about your world and your place within it.

The Shattering Revelation

A close sister named Fixer approaches you with a life-altering revelation. She claims that you have been lied to, and the ALLMOTHER is not what she seems. This revelation rocks the foundations of your world, casting doubt on everything you thought you knew. After Fixer’s execution for her treason, it falls to you to discover the truth.

Exploring Memories

You dive into the ALLMOTHER’s memories, exploring pivotal moments in her life from high school days to the arrival of the Occupants and the creation of the Orchard. By jumping between different moments in time, you solve puzzles and unlock hidden secrets within these memories.

The Orchard Hub

Between Communions, you explore the Orchard – a large underground hub area filled with characters who hold many secrets and stories. This vast space offers numerous interactions and discoveries, keeping you engaged in your quest for truth.

As you navigate through the game’s blend of third-person adventure, visual novel, and first-person walking simulator, you encounter numerous twists and turns. The game’s narrative is inspired by the eclectic works of Yoko Taro (NieR: Automata), Satoshi Kon (Perfect Blue), Naoko Yamada (A Silent Voice), and Robert Wilson (Einstein on the Beach). This unique blend brings fresh ideas to interactive storytelling from various artistic fields.
